Residential and Business
Specialized in creative problem solving for getting more function out of your landscape. What this means for you: improved indoor/outdoor connection, practical solutions that create greater function towards the activities important to you.
Do you have an idea but aren’t sure where to start? Need help in taking steps to move and idea/ interest forward? Or, are you completely stuck and just know you are ready for a change? I can help.
My approach: Creating resilient landscapes.
Diverse plant species, maximum water infiltration, connection between indoor and outdoor spaces so that you, your family, your business and your community can get more out of your landscape. How many win/win relationships can we create?
The goal is to integrate your goals and activities with your patterns and the patterns of your landscape to form a cohesive plan. What this means for you: increased efficiency, greater enjoyment, a win for the land, and a win for the people who interact with it…and of course all the plants and critters too. This approach is rooted in permaculture design, aiming to work with, not against natural systems and cycles.
What is Permaculture?
Originally coined in the mid 1970’s by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren, permaculture is a design system that focuses on learning from and utilizing observations of natural systems. Permaculture is described as ‘Consciously designed landscapes which mimic the patterns and relationships found in nature, while yielding an abundance of food, fiber and energy for provision of local needs. People, their buildings and the ways in which they organize themselves are central to permaculture. Thus the permaculture vision of permanent or sustainable agriculture has evolved to one of permanent or sustainable culture.’ – David Holmgren.
As a certified permaculture designer and teacher, I can provide you a fresh solution based perspective to your home and landscape. Let’s create a beautiful landscape that exceeds your expectations.
